Shiba Inu is developing Shibdentity, a project aimed at reshaping digital identity in the Web3 space. The initiative, in collaboration with D3Inc, aims to redefine the management of digital identities by linking them directly to unique SHIB names, thus facilitating transactions such as tokenization with a simplicity comparable to sending an email.

The purpose of Shibdentity is to integrate SHIB names into the digital environment so that each user has a unique identity on Web3, comparable to a username on platforms such as X. The Shiba Inu team stresses the importance of preserving and evolving these digital identities to maintain their relevance and protection in the face of technological advancement.

Shytoshi Kusama, leader of SHIB, has detailed future functionalities of Shibdentity, which include the use of a .shib domain for various online functions, such as web hosting, sending emails, transferring SHIB and other assets, and identity verification on Web3. The launch date for the project has not yet been confirmed.

“Preserving your identity going forward is our top priority,” the team stresses.

“As technology advances, Shibdentity will also evolve, while maintaining its relevance and protection.”

The series of publications concludes with the statement that Shiba Inu is not only looking to adapt to the future, but to shape it.

In early January, SHIB leader Shytoshi Kusama outlined the functionalities that Shibdentity will provide. According to Kusama, eventually, users will be able to employ a .shib domain to perform actions such as hosting a website, sending emails, transferring SHIB and other assets, as well as verifying their identity on Web3.

Shibdentity is presented as a solution to improve interaction and security in the field of digital identities on Web3, providing a tool that allows the verification and transfer of assets in a secure and efficient way.
