NFT Marketplace Giant Magic Eden Floats Multi-Chain Crypto Wallet
Magic Eden wallet dubbed “Emmy” is the newest addition to the leading Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace’s ecosystem.
Magic Eden Wallet Emergence: Key Benefit
The NFT marketplace has launched a multi-chain self-custodial wallet that is compatible with the four blockchains including Solana, Bitcoin, Polygon, and Ethereum. According to a previous post on X, even though the Magic Eden wallet was created for the NFT marketplace users and cross-chain collectors, the currently launched beta version is only available to a small group of early testers.
Notably, the beta version of the wallet was previously launched in November 2023. At the time, interested testers were advised to join a waiting list to secure a slot. It also involved downloading the extension and adding an email address.

The Magic Eden wallet was developed in collaboration with Exodus. Its self-custodial nature ensures that users retain control over their digital assets. Also, it offers customers a more user-friendly experience that includes instant cross-chain swaps, NFT portfolio management, and trading of NFTs directly from the wallet.
Magic Eden Incentivization Program
Currently, there is an ongoing incentivization program for early adopters. Precisely, Magic Eden stated that it has made available limited-time in-wallet mints of certain NFT projects. Some of such NFT projects are Claynosaurz, Degenerate Ape Academy, and BoDoggos. The incentivization scheme will run all through February.
This is the same as the recently launched incentivization scheme for Magic Eden’s collectors, and creators. It will commence on February 2nd with a Retroactive Diamond Drop that will account for all activities as far back as 2021 when the marketplace was conceived. This is Magic Eden’s way of giving back to its contributors.
It is worth noting that the announcement of the Magic Eden wallet suggests that the solution was conceived as a result of a perceived void.
“As the team made great strides in the NFT & Ordinals space, it became clear there was a missing complementary piece critical to convenience: a singular wallet that allows users to seamlessly manage and collect NFTs across major chains,” it said in a statement.
The introduction of the Magic Eden wallet is likely another strategy for the digital collectible powerhouse to establish its position in the NFT ecosystem amongst other top players like OpenSea.
