Data shows that Litecoin has seen a rapid surge in active addresses, making the asset the most used in the sector, compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Litecoin Has More Than Doubled Its Active Addresses This Month According to data from the on-chain analytics firm Santiment, the Daily Active Addresses have recently seen a big jump for LTC. The Daily Active Addresses here refers to an indicator that keeps track of the total number of addresses taking part in some transaction activity on the network daily. Naturally, this metric considers both senders and receivers and only counts the unique number of such addresses. This indicator may be used as a proxy for the amount of traffic the Litecoin blockchain receives. When the value of this metric is high, it means many addresses are making moves on the network right now. Such a trend implies there is high interest in the asset. On the other hand, the low indicator suggests that investors may not pay much attention to the cryptocurrency as the network isn’t witnessing much activity. During May, the asset had averaged a value of 345,000 on this metric, but over the past week, the average has been sitting at 704,000.
