David Hirsch, chief of the crypto assets in the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) enforcement division, has officially announced his departure from the agency. On June 17, Hirsch, who began his career as a staff attorney at the SEC, announced on LinkedIn that he is finally leaving his post at the financial regulator after nearly nine years of service. Reflecting on his time at the SEC, Hirsch expressed immense pride in the work accomplished by the agency’s Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit.
