Former President Donald Trump, now a Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election, has reiterated his strong support for the cryptocurrency industry. Promising to establish clearer and more favorable regulations, Trump has generated discussions about the potential market reactions if he wins. While speaking at the just-concluded Bitcoin 2024 conference, Trump promised to do away with unfavorable crypto regulations like the SAB 121. In addition, the GOP candidate declared that he would fire SEC chairperson Gary Gensler on his first day as president. Gensler, alongside senator Elizabeth Warren, have attracted animosity from the crypto community due to their often aggressive stance. As a result of Trump’s promises, some market commentators believe that the crypto market, including XRP, could see significant gains if the Republican candidate wins the forthcoming elections. However, the extent of these increases remains unclear. We sought insights from two AI chatbots, OpenAI’s ChatGPT and X’s Grok AI on the matter. We asked about the possible surge in XRP’s value if Trump secures the presidency. In their analyses, they assessed the factors that could influence XRP’s price and potential future scenarios. ChatGPT XRP Price Prediction ChatGPT emphasized the speculative nature of forecasting XRP prices based on political developments, noting that various factors such as market sentiment, regulatory changes, and adoption significantly influence price movements. The AI provided potential scenarios that might impact XRP’s value. If Trump advocates for more favorable regulations, it could bolster investor confidence and drive up XRP and other cryptocurrency prices. In a scenario with regulatory clarity and moderate adoption improvements, ChatGPT projected that XRP’s price could rise significantly, potentially doubling or tripling to a range of $1.10 to $1.65.
