Substantial Financial Impact from Cryptocurrency Fraud According to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center, there has been a significant rise in financial losses associated with cryptocurrency investment scams. The reported losses surged by 53%, escalating from $2.57 billion in 2022 to $3.96 billion in 2023. This sharp increase underscores the pervasive and damaging nature of these scams, further justifying the urgent need for regulatory intervention.
