According to the latest report, Hong Kong’s local authority has officially confirmed that foreigners can show their crypto holdings, such as Bitcoin and Ether, as proof of funds for its investment visa program, the New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme visa. To meet the criteria and qualify, applicants must disclose a total net worth of at least HK$30 million. The inclusion of crypto in the visa program puts BTC and ETH alongside traditional assets such as stocks, bonds, and real estate in the assessment of an applicant’s financial standing.  The spokesperson stated that while the program does not impose specific asset-type requirements, yet, all submitted wealth declarations will go through a verification process.
