Users who lose their private keys permanently lose access to their crypto holdings. The new Contract Account (CA) system offers enhanced security features. These include recovery mechanisms and additional transaction verification steps. MetaMask’s team announced these changes during ETHDenver, North America’s largest Ethereum conference. They explained the benefits of smart-contract-based accounts in a detailed blog post. The update includes ERC-5792, a feature that enables batched transactions. Users can now combine multiple steps into a single action. This batching system allows users to perform operations like “approve + swap” with one click. The result is reduced time and lower gas fees for users. New Payment Tools MetaMask co-founder Dan Finlay explained that the batching system streamlines the user experience.
