Ripple has officially ended its legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by dropping its cross-appeal. This follows the SEC’s decision to withdraw its own appeal without conditions. As part of the settlement, Ripple will receive a $75 million refund from the $125 million penalty originally imposed. The SEC will retain $50 million, which was already held in escrow. Additionally, the regulator will request the court to lift a previously imposed injunction, subject to final approvals. XRP Compliance with MiCA Regulations The MiCA whitepaper submitted by LCX categorizes XRP as an “Other Crypto-Asset” according to Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) standards.
