In a landmark move for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, Blocksquare and Vera Capital have announced a $1 billion initiative to bring U.S. real estate onto the blockchain. The strategic partnership will digitize a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties across seven states, using Blocksquare’s regulatory-compliant tokenization infrastructure. A Major Milestone in U.S. Tokenization This deal marks one of the largest tokenization efforts in U.S. history, joining only a handful of initiatives that have crossed the billion-dollar threshold. Blocksquare, which has already demonstrated demand by tokenizing a $5.4 million Fort Lauderdale property that sold out within an hour, will provide the underlying infrastructure and legal framework. The property offers a 5% annual return and redevelopment upside—features that drew swift investor interest. “Vera Capital’s $1 billion roadmap signals a major turning point for real estate tokenization in the United States,” said Blocksquare CEO Denis Petrovcic. “They’re going beyond just experimenting with blockchain—they’re deploying it at scale to unlock institutional-grade real estate for a global investor base.” Launching a White-Label Digital Marketplace As part of the agreement, Vera Capital will launch its own digital marketplace built on Blocksquare’s white-label technology stack. This platform will offer global investors fractional ownership in high-quality U.S. real estate assets, reducing traditional barriers to entry such as large capital requirements, illiquidity, and lack of transparency. The collaboration officially kicked off with Vera Capital’s successful campaign on Blocksquare’s Oceanpoint RWA Marketplace Launchpad. The campaign attracted more than 100,000 staked $BST tokens in just one hour, far exceeding expectations and securing Vera Capital free access to Blocksquare’s tech stack. Community stakers will receive token-based rewards. Vera Capital’s Real Estate Credentials Founded in 2012, Vera Group—parent company to Vera Capital—manages over $100 million in real estate assets through a fully integrated model that spans brokerage, development, property management, and investment services.…
