Her consolation prize, however, was a different kind of recognition: she was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Wicked. As the world waits for the second half of that musical blockbuster, Grande dropped several new tunes and re-released her album Eternal Sunshine. The focus of the updated full-length may bring her back to the Grammys in just a few months — and it could help her make history. “Twilight Zone” is the standout from Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead, the deluxe edition of the full-length. The track is the only single pushed from the project – at least thus far – and it’s one of five brand new cuts added to the tracklist. The song became a top 20 hit on the Hot 100 and has been steadily gaining at pop radio for weeks. Now, it seems like a real contender for the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance — especially in a year that doesn’t look like it will be nearly as competitive as recent ceremonies.
