Mythical Games Teams Up With Adidas for Launch of FIFA Blockchain Game
The mobile game will feature officially licensed Adidas-branded digital items, the company announced Friday.
The partnership marks a notable crossover between a major global sports brand and Web3 gaming. According to Mythical Games, Adidas gear—including exclusive digital kits, jerseys, and limited-edition shoes—will be available in-game. These assets are inspired by Adidas’ storied legacy in global football.
“The Adidas brand and products will be featured across ‘FIFA Rivals,’ providing players with access to exclusive digital items,” Mythical Games said in a statement, highlighting the deep brand integration at launch.
FIFA Rivals follows the studio’s previous blockchain sports title, NFL Rivals, which enabled users to trade and collect digital assets tied to NFL gameplay. While NFL Rivals didn’t become a viral sensation, it amassed millions of downloads and demonstrated strong user engagement in blockchain gaming.
With the FIFA brand and Adidas’ global reach, Mythical Games is betting FIFA Rivals could take Web3 sports gaming to the next level.
