Leading European robotics companies are utilizing NVIDIA’s Isaac, Omniverse, and Halos technologies to create AI-driven robot fleets, addressing labor shortages and enhancing safety, as showcased at NVIDIA GTC Paris.
European robotics firms are increasingly turning to NVIDIA’s cutting-edge technologies such as Isaac, Omniverse, and Halos to develop advanced AI-driven robots and address critical industry challenges. This trend was highlighted at the NVIDIA GTC Paris at VivaTech, where major players in the robotics sector showcased their latest innovations, according to NVIDIA’s blog. AI-Driven Robotics for Sustainable Manufacturing The growing need for sustainable manufacturing amid labor shortages has pushed European manufacturers to adopt AI and software-defined processes. A collaborative effort with NVIDIA has enabled these companies to build safer, AI-driven robots and industrial technologies. Among the companies demonstrating their advancements are Agile Robots, Extend Robotics, Humanoid, idealworks, Neura Robotics, SICK, Universal Robots, Vorwerk, and Wandelbots. NVIDIA’s New Tools for Robotics Development NVIDIA introduced several tools to accelerate robot development and safety, including the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N1.5, available on Hugging Face. This model enhances adaptability and instruction-following capabilities, improving its performance in manufacturing tasks. Additionally, NVIDIA Isaac Sim 5.0 and Isaac Lab 2.2 are now accessible for developer preview on GitHub, optimized for RTX PRO 6000 workstations. The NVIDIA Halos system, initially designed for autonomous vehicles, now extends to robotics, enhancing safety across the development lifecycle. This comprehensive safety system has received accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for its functional safety inspections, ensuring compliance with international standards. Integration of NVIDIA’s Platforms in Robotics European robotics developers are integrating NVIDIA’s platforms to train, simulate, and deploy robots. Agile Robots, for instance, is using Isaac Lab to train dual-arm manipulator robots on NVIDIA Jetson hardware. Meanwhile, idealworks…
