The singer had been promoting the electronic dance project for months before the full-length dropped, and she has continued to push it ever since. Just months after Mayhem arrived, it has earned its first certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and its quick success keeps Gaga’s winning streak sterling. Mayhem Goes Platinum The title went gold and platinum simultaneously, which means it has shifted at least one million equivalent units between streams and sales. All six of Gaga’s solo albums have been certified platinum, with Mayhem ensuring her track record remains unbroken – and several have advanced beyond that level. Mayhem Ties Chromatica, Joanne and Artpop Mayhem joins Chromatica, Joanne, and Artpop at platinum status. Born This Way, her second full-length, is up to four-times platinum, while The Fame, the project that started it all, is a six-times platinum win. Other Lady Gaga Albums Also Earned Certifications Two other albums released by Gaga have also earned certifications from the RIAA. The soundtrack that accompanied her film A Star Is Born, which is credited to the singer-songwriter as well as Bradley Cooper, was certified double platinum back in 2019.
