The crypto world loves a comparison; if you’re the active one in the space, questions such as“will this be the next Dogecoin?” or “could that be the next XRP?” shouldn’t be new to you. Right now, that pairing is between the venerable Zcash (ZEC) and the irrepressible Shiba Inu. 

However, interestingly, some analysts are suggesting Zcash might end up playing a different role entirely, not as a meme token like Shiba, but as the next big narrative behind infrastructure and privacy, maybe even a contender for the title of “XRP 2.0” with this all-new Ethereum-based PayFi altcoin.

Shiba Inu: What the Comparison Implies

You probably became aware of Shiba Inu from a friend or social media group/page, thanks to its community fervour, viral momentum, and big ROI rewards accompanied by equivalent risks. Meme enthusiasts love it for its low price, high supply, and fast moves. 

If Zcash were to mimic SHIB, it would mean a wild ride upward with lots of noise and little infrastructure to back it. But when you look at ZEC’s fundamentals, things don’t line up exactly with that script.

That narrative gives Zcash potential up-sides that go beyond meme status. The current commentary suggests a speculative price target near $750 in the short term. Still, ZEC isn’t exactly screaming “viral meme coin”. It’s more mid-tier infrastructure with speculative upside.

Now, here’s where the plot thickens.
