Credit: Netflix It’s a big week for new TV shows, though the majority of the following guide includes shows that are already streaming. Some are nearing their season finales, others are there already and some have just started. Netflix has its biggest drop of the year and Apple TV, Paramount and HBO all have incredibly strong rosters at the moment. The big days for TV releases this week are Sunday and Wednesday. Wednesday was already packed with options, but with a new animated series and one of Apple’s shows getting bumped up to avoid the holiday, it’s bigger than ever. And, of course, there’s Stranger Things Season 5 which drops Volume 1 this Wednesday as well. Sunday, November 23 Landman — Season 2, Episode 2 (Paramount+) Billy Bob Thornton’s Landman – one of three Taylor Sheridan shows airing this Sunday – was met with quite a lot of backlash after the Season 2 premiere thanks to the portrayal of two of its female leads. We’ll see if the Texas oil drama can win back lost affection in its second episode. IT: Welcome To Derry – Season 1, Episode 5 (HBO Max) IT: Welcome to Derry is a fun horror prequel to the Stephen King book and films and I’m enjoying it for the most part despite some genuinely goofy looking CGI and occasionally week writing.
