FilmMagic Throughout his career, Post Malone has tried his hand at many different genres of music. He started in hip-hop and rap, then moved seamlessly into pop, and at one point even dabbled with both rock and alternative sounds. F-1 Trillion, Malone’s most recent full-length, fits perfectly under the country label, and while it was a creative risk, the set immediately turned him into a hitmaker in that field. One thing has remained constant throughout all of Malone’s eras and genre change-ups, and that is commercial success. The superstar is responsible for a number of the biggest songs of the past decade or so, and many of them are included on his career-spanning compilation, The Diamond Collection. Malone released the project more than two years ago to celebrate his many diamond-certified songs, and it has performed well ever since. This week, as The Diamond Collection rises on the Billboard charts, the compilation returns to a familiar position – one which must be both exciting and also frustrating for the singer-songwriter.
