Decibel performs all core exchange functions, such as order entry, matching, clearing, and risk management, through smart contracts on the Aptos blockchain. This structure aims to increase the transparency and verifiability of transactions, while offering a more open market infrastructure compared to centralized systems. The Decibel Foundation announced that the platform will not be limited to crypto derivatives. According to the roadmap, spot markets, a multi-collateral account structure, and tokenized real-world assets (RWA) will be integrated into the system in the future.
