While the superstar hasn’t specifically said anything about launching a new business, recent trademark filings suggest that she might be expanding her horizons beyond music. The singer was approved for a trademark in the U.K. for a new company called The Shelbourne Collective Limited. The trademark, filed earlier this week and caught by The Mirror, has been classified by the British government under the label 74100, which encompasses “specialised design activities,” according to an online copy of the filing. That classification opens Adele up to do many things with The Shelbourne Collective Limited. Many media outlets immediately suggested that her focus may be cosmetics, but that’s not all she could produce with the new venture. She may also want to become an entrepreneur in fashion, accessories, or even home design, which should all be covered by the same classification, according to The Messenger. Adele’s move into trademarking a business entity raises questions about her post-music career plans, or potential additions to her already illustrious musical dominance. Many successful artists have successfully transitioned their fame on the Billboard charts into various other fields, leveraging their popularity and well-tailored brands to explore avenues such as fashion, fragrance, cosmetics, and even housewares.
