Getty Images Key Facts Recent threats against New York Judge Arthur Engoron and his law clerk Allison Greenfield are “considered to be serious and credible and not hypothetical or speculative,” state court officer Charles Hollon wrote in an affidavit released Wednesday. Greenfield has faced “harassing, disparaging comments and antisemitic tropes” on a daily basis, receiving between 20 and 30 calls per day and 30 to 50 messages over email and on social media, with half of those messages being antisemitic, Hollon wrote. Those threats include a series of messages that have since “compromised” Greenfield’s personal cell phone number and email addresses as a result of a public doxxing campaign stemming from Trump’s repeated attacks on her, according to Hollon. Trump has ramped up public ridicule of both Engoron and Greenfield since his gag order was lifted by an appeals court judge last week, taking to his social media platform Truth Social, where he’s referred to the clerk as a “politically biased and out of control, Trump Hating Clerk” (Engoron has argued Trump’s claims of bias have “no basis”).
