AI-generated voice can easily spread misinformation without any regulation Dr Jennifer Williams, a researcher of AI audio at the University of Southampton highlighted the need to have proper safeguards and regulations to differentiate between an AI-generated version of a person from his actual self. If not, this leads to the spread of misinformation. She expressed her disgust saying a trustworthy voice like Attenborough is recognized by people around the world.
