Heated Rivalry was one of the biggest breakout hits of 2025, and naturally, everyone wants to know when it’s returning for more. Heated Rivalry season 2 was greenlit almost immediately, and we now have some new information about its potential release date. Previously, when we heard from showrunner Jacob Tierney, things were pretty nebulous: “I don’t have details. I have not started writing, so I’m not just trying to be evasive. I genuinely don’t know yet,” he prefaced last month. “I’m so lucky to have a whole world of books here to grab things from, to use, to add color, to add context, to add story. I can tell you I’m really excited to get back to writing. I’m excited to get back into this world with them, and I’m looking forward to it.” Now we have an update from star Connor Storrie, which is a bit more concrete. When pressed, he says that yes, production on Heated Rivalry season 2 should likely start by summer. Estimating that would be June 2026, which would be five months of Tierney writing to get into production. The good news is that, at least in season 1, Heated Rivalry had an insanely short shooting window, only about 36 days.
