EDU Chain leverages the security and infrastructure of Arbitrum One and Ethereum, offering users an independent yet robust platform. Its Open Campus Achievements system (formerly known as Verifiable Credentials) allows educational institutions to issue decentralized, tamper-proof academic records. Thanks to this innovation, students can gain full control over their learning data, marking a significant shift in educational ownership and privacy. 

The ecosystem already boasts over 100 decentralized applications in development, including tools for interactive learning, commerce, gaming, and reward programs. Moreover, the native $EDU token plays a crucial role, functioning as a utility, governance, and gas token. Users can bridge and stake $EDU on the mainnet to earn rewards, while 150 million tokens (15% of the total supply) have been reserved for prizes distributed through EDULand NFTs over the next three years.

The mainnet launch is supported by a testnet campaign that recorded 86.2 million transactions and over 358,000 active wallets, reflecting the platform’s early interest and adoption. According to L2Beat, EDU Chain has also reached a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $162 million, underlining its strong start and growing potential within the blockchain sector.
