Animoca Brands has announced a strategic partnership to create a premier identity layer on Ethereum Layer 2’s open blockchain, Soneium. Sony developed Soneium, which is powered by Optimism’s Superchain technology. This will start with Anime ID, a decentralized identifier (DID) and reputation layer spearheaded by San FranTokyo. San FranTokyo is a core contributor to the Anime Foundation and will help enhance user engagement and enable partners on Soneium to issue and verify data credentials. Developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs (SBSL), Soneium is a joint initiative established by Sony Group Corporation and Startale Group, focused on transcending boundaries with the open internet. Web3 leader Animoca Brands Corporation Limited focuses on leveraging tokenization and blockchain to deliver digital property rights to consumers, helping to establish the open metaverse and its associated network effects. Advertisement   As part of the partnership, Moca Network’s Account, Identity, and Reputation SDK (AIR SDK) will be integrated into Soneium blockchain, enabling users to maintain embedded accounts, unique identities, and credentials as they explore various dApps on Soneium. Anime ID will set a record as the first decentralized identifier (DID) and reputation layer to adopt the AIR SDK and integrate into the Soneium blockchain, enhancing user engagement with anime-related experiences on Soneium. Its creator, San FranTokyo, will also partner with Animoca Brands to launch anime-inspired cultural campaigns on Soneium.
