The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently hosted a roundtable discussion focused on clarifying how securities laws apply to digital assets.

Acting SEC Chairman Mark Uyeda said the SEC is looking to resolve regulatory uncertainty through rulemaking and guidance, rather than enforcement actions.

This is a notable change from the approach taken by the SEC under its previous chair, Gary Gensler, and has been welcomed by Web3 industry thought leaders. Many analysts have identified a potential reversal of the recent extended downtrend, citing signs that the crypto market may soon experience renewed capital inflows because of clearer regulations.
