On Monday, Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Inc. (BMNR) increased its Ethereum holdings following the announcement of a new acquisition of 51,162 ETH. The company’s total Ethereum holdings now amount to 4,422,659 ETH. 

The current market price per Ethereum token is $1,863. The company’s Ethereum holdings currently account for 3.66% of the total 120.7 million ETH in circulation. This announcement confirms the company’s continued accumulation strategy.

According to the announcement, the company’s total crypto portfolio now amounts to $9.6 billion. This portfolio comprises the company’s Bitcoin holdings and strategic holdings, as well as cash holdings. 

The company currently holds the title of the world’s largest Ethereum treasury. Bitmine is also the second-largest crypto treasury in the world, following Strategy Inc., which currently holds 717,722 BTC, valued at $54.6 billion.

Bitmine Sees ETH Price Drop as Strategic Buying Window

Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee said that the recent drop in the price of the ETH token provided a strategic opportunity. The company has continued acquiring the token in the recent drop. 

The company’s Chairman reaffirmed the company’s belief in the Ethereum token, saying that the token still has significant utility in the global market.

Lee said that the institutional tokenization drive is a significant factor that contributes to the Ethereum token’s relevance in the market. The recent developments in AI systems, as well as the creator economy, are significant.

The company also gave an update regarding its staking activities. Currently, it has staked 3,040,483 ETH. This represents 69% of the company’s total assets. 

The Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN) and other providers facilitate the staking activities. The portfolio has an annualized revenue of $171 million.

The company also stated that its seven-day staking yield is 2.89%. This is higher than the Composite Ethereum Staking Rate, which stands at 2.81%. 

Bitmine Maintains Top Position in Global ETH Treasury

The firm stated that it has staked the most ETH compared to other players in the industry. MAVAN is set to provide secure staking solutions once it is fully launched in early 2026.

The latest purchase of 51,162 ETH comes after the company purchased 45,759 ETH last week. Chairman Lee also commented on the current market during his presentation at Consensus Hong Kong 2026. 

He stated that the current market has recovered from previous downturns. ETH prices are close to the short-term trough.

Bitmine has maintained its position as the largest Ethereum treasury worldwide. It has been doing so through its accumulation, staking, and yield generation activities. 

The company stated that it has been undertaking these activities in line with its long-term strategy for managing digital assets.
