Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has raised alarms about dormant XRP addresses linked to Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen. These addresses, which had been inactive for six to seven years, suddenly came to life in January 2025, transferring over $109 million worth of XRP to exchanges. With XRP currently valued at $2.60, the wallets still hold 2.7 billion XRP, worth approximately $7.18 billion. Larsen’s XRP holdings have long been a subject of speculation. In early 2024, it was reported that Larsen lost access to 213 million XRP, valued at around $112 million, due to a hack. Despite this, the remaining dormant addresses tied to him continue to hold a massive amount of XRP.
