Cardano Founder Endorses Pro-Bitcoin Presidential Candidate RFK
United States Presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., also known by his initials RFK, has been endorsed by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson.
Cardano Founder Says RFK Deserves More Votes
The Cardano founder acknowledged that he has been approached several times to discuss who he intends to support in the forthcoming U.S. Presidential elections.
After conversing with “RFK’s” people, he said he is supporting the American politician and lawyer. Hoskinson pointed to the fact that RFK has a good understanding of how the United States was in the past and what it currently looks like. This is because he has deep political roots, including his father and his uncle.
Although Americans are more inclined to vote for a candidate from either the Republican or Democratic party, Hoskinson believes that RFK, who is from the ‘We The People’ party, deserves more votes.
Even though his party seems unpopular, RFK has been receiving a lot of support, especially from high-profile crypto industry players and this is due to his stance towards crypto. A few days back, Coinbase Chief Product Officer (CPO), Faryar Shirshad, commended the pro-Bitcoin presidential candidate for his strong advocacy toward building a crypto-friendly environment in the United States.
Kennedy revealed his plans to pioneer “transactional freedom” in the U.S. upon becoming the President. With the kind of support he has received so far, RFK may be inching towards getting a seat in the front row of the November elections.
US Presidential Candidates Competing For Crypto Votes
Besides Cardano Founder’s choice, frontline contender, Donald Trump, has equally been on the frontlines of many Americans. Just before the end of the first quarter, the Republican presidential candidate received clearance to run for President after debates that challenged his eligibility to contest.
Like RFK, Trump also supports Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, although this is a new stance as he used to be anti-Bitcoin.
During his campaigns, he never misses out on any opportunity to voice his new Bitcoin stance. Trump once said that “many people are embracing” Bitcoin and he is seeing more and more people wanting to pay in BTC. With this, he opined that he is not going to ban the coin.
There is also Joe Biden who is the current President of the United States. His administration has not been the best for crypto projects, especially with the numerous enforcement actions being levied against many crypto exchanges. Just like the Cardano founder opined, Anthony Scaramucci has also hinted that crypto voters could also give President Biden their votes.
