DM2C StudioがDMM Cryptoに社名変更 DMM.comのweb3子会社であるDM2C Studioが、DMM Crypto（ディーエムエムクリプト）への社名変更を7月30日発表した。 新社名は、同日より変更したとのこと。また同社より2024年内に発行予定のトークン名称も「DM2P」から「Seamoon Protocol（SMP）」へと変更したことも併せて発表されている。 DMM Crypto（旧DM2C Studio）は、DMM.comがブロックチェーンゲーム、NFTプロジェクトなどのweb3事業を展開することを目的に2023年1月に設立したDMMのグループ会社だ。独自トークンを利用したデジタル空間における新たなエンタメ体験を提供するため、web3プロジェクト「Seamoon Protocol」を2023年に開始。Oasys Layer2上の独自ブロックチェーン「DM2 Verse」の公開や、前述した独自トークンの発行、ブロックチェーンゲームなどの提供を予定している。 なお同社は昨年12月、プライベートラウンドにて約3.4億円の資金調達を実施。本格的なグローバル展開を見据えた戦略的パートナーシップの締結を目的に、同社としては初の資金調達を行った。 ちなみにこのラウンドを主導したのは、エンタメ領域に特化した世界最大級のベンチャーキャピタルであるギャラクシーインタラクティブ（Galaxy Interactive）。その他にもシマキャピタル（Shima Capital）、ビットフィネックス（Bitfinex）、マーブレックス（MARBLEX）、スクウェア・エニックス・ホールディングス、プラネタリウムラボ（Planetarium Labs）、マスクネットワーク（Mask Network）、ディファイマンズ（DeFimans）が出資参加している。 その他DMM Cryptoは、今年7月11日にweb3ゲームプラットフォーム提供のImmutable（イミュータブル）との提携を発表している。 この提携は、両社の相互でのマーケティング支援を通じて、web3ゲームタイトル間のコラボレーション、プラットフォーム間の相互送客、マーケティング支援を目的にしているという。イミュータブルは英語圏、DM2C Studioはアジア圏を中心とするユーザーコミュニティを持っており、相互にマーケティング活動を支援することで、それぞれのグローバル展開を推進するとのことだ。 関連ニュース DMMのDM2C Studioがイミュータブルと提携、「Gods Unchained」とのコラボも予定 DMMの新たなデジタル経済圏構想とは？ Seamoon Protocol と $DM2P 、ホワイトペーパーを解説！（DM2C Studio 加嵜長門） DMMのweb3子会社「DM2C Studio」が3.4億円の資金調達、トークン転換社債で DMMの「DM2C Studio」がNFTゲーム「Duelyst3.0」12月リリースへ、LudicCubeと協業で DMM Bitcoinの不正流出に北朝鮮ハッカー集団「ラザルス」関与か 参考：DMMimages:iStocks/Максим-Ивасюк・Thinkhubstudio Source: https://www.neweconomy.jp/posts/406656
