Back in 2000, the band launched its first full-length Parachutes, introducing itself to the world with a selection of slowly-growing singles, some of which are still beloved to this day. Parachutes has not been falling, but rising on the rankings in a number of nations recently, as one tune from its tracklist has gone viral. In fact, the consumption of that one cut is pushing Parachutes back to various tallies, higher and higher each frame. Parachutes Hits the Billboard 200 Again Parachutes returns to the Billboard 200, reentering the competitive tally at No. 169. The project has now spent 79 frames somewhere on the list of the biggest titles in the country. As it returns, the full-length becomes Coldplay’s second-longest-charting album on the Billboard 200. Parachutes Becomes Coldplay’s Second-Longest-Charting Album Before the virality of the single “Sparks” started the resurgence of Parachutes on the Billboard 200, the album was tied with Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, as both had spent 78 frames somewhere on the roster. That latter project racked up several weeks at No. 1 in the summer of 2008, and it remains one of Coldplay’s most commercially successful and critically acclaimed releases.
