Cosmos Lays Out 2025 Roadmap: Hub Stability and Interchain Stack Evolution
TL;DR
Cosmos unveiled its roadmap for Q1 2025, focusing on improving the security, performance, and scalability of its Hub and the evolution of the Interchain Stack.
The focus will be on optimizing scalability and security, as well as potentially removing the LSM module and increasing audits to achieve robust performance.
The Ecosystem Growth Team will support developers and institutions through education, funding, and resources.
Cosmos unveiled its roadmap for the first quarter of 2025, centered on improving the security, performance, and scalability of its Hub, as well as the evolution of its Interchain Stack. The network update aims to optimize infrastructure and strengthen its ecosystem, preparing the platform for sustained growth.
One of the main focuses will be improving the scalability and security of the Cosmos Hub. The possibility of removing the LSM module will be explored to accelerate block times, a crucial point to increase the network’s efficiency. Additionally, more resources will be allocated to audits to ensure robust and secure performance, which will be essential for strengthening user and investor confidence in the platform.
In parallel, the development of the Interchain Stack will continue, a set of technologies that facilitate communication between different blockchains. One of the most important achievements will be the introduction of version 2 of the Cosmos SDK and IBC, known as “Eureka.” This update is designed to improve the network’s transactional processing capacity, with a focus on increasing performance through Comet BFT, enabling greater efficiency in interchain operations.
Cosmos to Fund Developers to Foster Network Growth
The roadmap also emphasizes the work of Cosmos’ Ecosystem Growth Team. This team will be responsible for supporting developers, institutions, and users through education, funding, and growth programs. The goal is to foster the adoption of its technology and facilitate the expansion of its ecosystem. To achieve this, comprehensive support will be provided, ranging from training to access to resources for developing projects on the network.
Additionally, Cosmos is expected to focus on improving the adoption of its technology at the institutional level and with external developers. The integration of external liquidity and the expansion of minimal services such as oracles and greater interoperability are also part of the plans to strengthen the network and facilitate its growth in the future
