In a surprising twist in the ongoing global trade war, US President Donald Trump revealed that he is “very confident” about a trade deal with the European Union, adding that he will soon have a “good deal” with China as well. Trump’s comments have provided much-needed respite to US equities and the crypto market. The S&P 500 and NASDAQ are up 0.85% and 0.45%, respectively, while the Bitcoin price has jumped by 2% to reclaim the $85,000 price level. While investors are still cautious about another about-face from the President, his soft stance isn’t altogether a surprise.
