Crypto investors can’t look away from meme-coin chatter these days: can Dogecoin ever touch $1 again? Or is the spotlight shifting toward Little Pepe (LILPEPE)? Dogecoin: The Original Faces a Long Hill to Climb The original meme coin hovers around 16 to 17 cents, giving it a market capitalization between $24.4 billion and $25.9 billion and a daily trading volume of $ 1 to $ 1.5 billion. With more than 150 billion DOGE circulating and no hard supply limit, a move to $ 1 would require a staggering $150 billion valuation leap, which feels almost impossible outside a massive bull market. Even so, excitement lingers thanks to talk of a Dogecoin ETF, a dream fueled by investments from prominent firms like Grayscale, 21Shares, and Bitwise. Bloomberg’s analysts now peg the odds of approval by late 2025 at nearly 90 percent, with August 17 marked as a meaningful checkpoint for the industry. Should the funds clear the gate, institutional dollars could flood in, and user-led FOMO might push the price to 30 or 40 cents, although $ 1 still seems far off. Charts can stir up equal parts hope and caution. In Dogecoin, a falling wedge and an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern are forming, and these shapes typically indicate a bullish turn. Integration moves, such as wrapped DOGE appearing on Coinbase’s Base network, do add some utility; yet, many traders doubt they are enough to lift the coin above its 2021 peak. Even the bright-eyed models, including CoinPedia’s estimate of $1.07 by mid-2025, slap a warning label on the call—it remains an ultra-bullish vision. I think Doge could revisit the $0.40-to-$0.60 band pretty easily, but pushing well past that price zone depends on tougher mechanics and thus feels unlikely.
