The full-length was released in late May 2024, but the promotional period turned out to be surprisingly brief, as the project was easily her least successful in almost every respect. Despite a somewhat lackluster reception, the singer’s Radical Optimism Tour appears to be selling well, in large part thanks to Lipa’s incredibly strong back catalog. Large crowds are packing in to see her perform the hits they love, while die-hard followers are also interested in the new stuff as well. As the venture touches down in the United Kingdom, where Lipa is one of the biggest stars in music, fans have gravitated back to two of her three studio albums. Curiously, neither of them is the one the trek is named after. Future Nostalgia Returns to Multiple Charts Lipa’s self-titled debut album was a major breakthrough for her, but it was her sophomore set Future Nostalgia that catapulted her to another level. The pop singer became one of the most successful names in the genre worldwide with the Grammy-winning effort, which produced smashes like “Levitating,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Physical.” In anticipation of her Radical Optimism Tour, listeners in the U.K. have returned to Future Nostalgia, pushing it to No. 80 on the Official Albums Streaming chart.
