Focusing On The Interoperability Between Different Blockchains
The post Focusing On The Interoperability Between Different Blockchains appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com.
Cosmos (ATOM) is a decentralized blockchain platform designed to facilitate interoperability between different blockchains and enable the exchange of assets and data across different networks.
Cosmos (ATOM) was launched in 2019 by a team of developers led by Jae Kwon.
Cosmos aims to address the problem of blockchain interoperability by providing a framework for creating interconnected blockchains, known as “zones,” that can communicate with each other through a central hub called the “Cosmos Hub.”
It uses the Tendermint consensus algorithm, a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus mechanism designed for high throughput and fast transaction finality.
The Inter-Blockchain Communication
The Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol is a core component of Cosmos, enabling secure communication and transfer of assets and data between different blockchains in the Cosmos network.
Cosmos follows a hub-and-zone architecture, where individual blockchains (zones) can connect to the central hub (Cosmos Hub) to communicate with other zones in the network.
Cosmos (ATOM) token
ATOM is the native cryptocurrency of the Cosmos network. ATOM holders can participate in block validation and network security by staking their tokens and participating in governance decisions through on-chain voting.
