MLB Network’s Studio 42 MLB Network Major League Baseball has seen solid numbers for national broadcasts, and now data shows that MLB Network has joined in on the action. According to the league, MLB Network’s out-of-market game coverage in June was the best since June of 2019. The league-owned network aired more than 40 live out-of-market games in June, in line with previous years. For the month, MLB Network averaged 233,000 viewers for out-of-market games. Drilling down, in the critical 18-34 age demographic, MLBN saw its best numbers since 2018, and primetime was its best since August 2017, averaging 274,000 viewers. The most watched June game was on the 11th between the Yankees and Royals in Kansas City, averaging 551,000 viewers. That marks the 12th most-watched game in MLB Network history. The late-night (9 pm ET or later) game with the highest numbers in June was the June 16 game between the Padres and Dodgers, with Ohtani making his pitching debut for the 2025 season. That game averaged 411,000 viewers and peaked at 603,000. “We view ourselves as the content home of baseball, where fans are getting a live game or one of our signature shows breaking everything down whenever they watch,” said Bill Morningstar, MLB Network President. “The action has just been incredible, so for fans, especially younger fans, to be consuming us at levels we haven’t seen in quite some time, it’s been great to see.” For the entire season, many of MLB Network’s studio shows are either slightly up or more compared to 2024 in viewership, including MLB Central (+6%), Quick Pitch (+3%), and MLB Tonight: On Deck Circle (+67%).
