LayerZero, the cross-chain messaging protocol, is partnering with Conflux, a Singapore-registered public blockchain, to expand into the Asia Pacific region and enable users of Conflux’s blockchain-enabled SIM cards to transfer assets and messages between chains using LayerZero. The cards, developed in collaboration with China Telecom, are expected to be piloted in Hong Kong later this year before rolling out in China and will allow users to securely store private keys on their phones. By partnering with LayerZero, Conflux hopes to enable users to move assets from the blockchain-enabled cards to other chains.
