According to Lummis, the United States is engaged in an economic war with China and must take steps to prepare. She suggested that strategic reserve was a solution to this. The senator’s remarks referred to the tensions between the United States and China. She further highlighted that they are engaged in an economic battle with China and must prepare for a conflict involving weapons. Lummis, however, said they need to be prepared for both.
