The DSR represents the interest rate earned by individuals who lock their DAI into MakerDAO’s DSR smart contracts. Funded by stability fees paid by users borrowing DAI against collateralized assets such as Wrapped BTC (WBTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the DSR is a vital monetary tool in balancing DAI’s demand and supply.
