The Brewers had the best record in Major League Baseball in the 2025 season. They were one game better than the Philadelphia Phillies. The Brewers finished 97-65, or 5 full games ahead of the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central Division. The Brewers defeated the Cubs in the best-of-five National League Division Series. Now, the Brewers face a daunting task. Milwaukee has earned the home field advantage in their best-of-seven Championship Series against the favored Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers won the National League West Division, with a 93-69 record, or 3 games ahead of the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers dispatched the Phillies in four games in their National League Division Series. They too, are on a roll. The Dodgers are favored to win Game 1 on the road, and the Dodgers are also favored to win the entire series. Of course, the Brewers have been counted out before. However, the team led by manager Pat Murphy just took out a Cubs team that was managed by former Brewers skipper, Craig Counsell. Maybe that was a bit of a revenge series, as Counsell left the Brewers to manage the Cubs. Now, this Dodgers series may be a continuing tribute. A tribute to the great baseball legend, Bob Uecker.
