Moca Foundation Unveils Privacy-Focused EVM-compatible L1 Network
TL;DR
Moca Foundation unveiled its new layer-1 blockchain, focused on decentralized digital identities and data authentication without intermediaries.
The EVM-compatible network will launch its testnet in Q3 2025 and use the MOCA token for transaction fees, validator staking, oracles, and data verification.
AIR Kit, its identity management toolkit, already connects over 700 million potential users through integrations with OK Cashbag and One Football.
Moca Foundation has announced the launch of its own chain, a layer-1 blockchain designed to manage digital identities and authenticate data in a decentralized way.
The network aims to provide an alternative to centralized login systems, allowing users, devices, and AI agents to control and verify their credentials without relying on intermediaries.
The rollout plan includes a testnet launch in the third quarter of 2025, with a mainnet deployment expected before the end of the year. The blockchain will be compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, enabling interoperability with Ethereum and other networks that follow the same technical standards.
A native token, MOCA, will be integrated and used for transaction fees, validator staking, storage, oracle services, and data verification. Additionally, the ecosystem will allow applications built on any network to verify both on-chain and off-chain information, thanks to an architecture that includes decentralized storage, cross-chain identity oracles, and proof generation through ZK-TLS with on-chain verification.
Moca Chain Will Manage Data for Over 700 Million Users
From Animoca Brands, one of the founding partners, they pointed out that single sign-on systems have become critical points of vulnerability, concentrating sensitive personal data. According to Yat Siu, co-founder of the company, the new chain aims to eliminate that risk and give users full control over their data.
The project already includes AIR Kit, an identity management development toolkit integrated into products and services of companies and other strategic partners. This tool gives Moca Chain access to a potential base of over 700 million users from the outset.
Among the integrations are OK Cashbag, a South Korean rewards program with over 28 million verified users, and One Football, a German sports media platform with 200 million monthly active users. Both companies will begin sharing verified data through Moca Chain’s systems once the network goes live.
