FIFA, one of the EA Sports games, was named “most popular game” in 2022.

November 2022 saw the initial release of Nike’s.swoosh NFT platform.

A significant development in the crypto-gaming landscape is the upcoming integration of Nike’s NFT platform, .Swoosh, with EA Sports games. This integration has the potential to introduce virtual Nike footwear and apparel into the gaming experience. 

Ron Faris, general manager of Nike Virtual Studios, stated:

This partnership will allow us to unlock some incredible new experiences for our .SWOOSH community and the massive EA SPORTS fan base.

The highly popular EA Sports games, including FIFA, which earned the distinction of being the “most popular game” in 2022, as well as the Madden NFL series and the NBA Live series, boast a massive player following. 

It is expected that Nike NFTs will offer customizable wearable options for players to purchase and personalize their character avatars within the game. In November 2022, Nike introduced its .swoosh NFT platform, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2023 that Nike released its inaugural NFT collection.
