TradFiやTechの有識者が東京に集結 金融サービス大手の英スタンダードチャータード銀行のセミナー「トレジャリーリーダーシップ フォーラム2024 “The Blueprint for Tomorrow”」が7月1日、ザ・キャピトルホテル東急（千代田区）で開催された。国内の企業向けに開催された招待型セミナーだ。このイベントでは、伝統的な金融やテクノロジーをテーマにした７つのプレゼンテーションやトークセッションが行われ、当日は国内外の企業から戦略部門・デジタル部門の担当者ら、約80名が参加した。 本記事では、このイベントの様子やスタンダートチャータード銀行の開催に込めた想いについてお届けする。 英国に本社を構えるスタンダートチャータード銀行は、世界中で53カ国に拠点ネットワークを持ち、8万人以上の従業員を抱える国際的金融サービス機関だ。今回開催されたイベントシリーズは昨年から始まったもので、同行の主だった海外拠点で開催されているという。具体的にはロンドン、パリ、ドバイ、シンガポール、上海、香港、韓国などでの開催を経て、日本では今年で2回目の開催となった。 現実のビジネスシーンでのテクノロジー活用を見出す1日に イベントのオープニングは、スタンダードチャータード銀行東京支店のCEOである浅井勇介氏が務めた。 浅井氏によれば、昨年のイベント「The future point of Metaverse（メタバースの未来）」ではコンセプチュアルな話をメインに、新しい領域を概括的に伝えられたという。 そして今回の「The Blueprint for Tomorrow」は、得た知見を実務にどう活用していくかを探求する構成になっているという。現実のビジネスシーンにおけるテクノロジーの活用方法やそういった機会を見つける１日になってほしいとの期待が込められている。 また昨年のイベントを機に、同行グループのベンチャー投資＆インキュベーションユニットであるSCベンチャーズ（SC Ventures）がMoUを締結した企業もあり、今年もそのような機会に恵まれると嬉しいと冒頭の挨拶で浅井氏は述べた。 共創で開くビジネスの可能性 次に、SCベンチャーズのティモシー・ロー（Timothy Lo）氏の同行グループの取り組みに関するプレゼンテーションが行われた。 6年前に設立されたSCベンチャーズ部門では、スタートアップやフィンテックへの投資、様々なビジネスモデルの探求、ベンチャーの組成を行っている。また銀行のCVCでもある同社は戦略的投資も担当しているとのことだ。 ロー氏によればWeb3はSCベンチャーズの主要な柱のひとつだという。具体的な事例として、機関投資家向けの暗号資産のカストディソリューションを提供するゾディアカストディ（Zodia Custody）やデジタル資産取引所及び仲介プラットフォームを提供するゾディア・マーケッツ（Zodia Markets）、資産トークンナイゼーションプラットフォーム「リベアラ（Libeara）」等を紹介した。 ちなみにゾディアカストディはSCベンチャーズが米大手資産運用会社ノーザントラスト（Northern Trust）と共同で設立した企業だ。昨年4月には、SBIホールディングスから出資を受けている。 またロー氏は、同行グループがネットワークを持つ拠点を記した地図を基にプレゼンテーションを実施。世界中にネットワークを持つ同行グループにとって、地理的な問題は障壁ではないとアピールした。特にアジア、アフリカ、中東などのエリアにおける同行グループの強みを示した。 さらにロー氏は、パートナーシップの重要性を強調。効果的なパートナーを特定し、マーケットのギャップを埋めていく事が重要だとし、多様なマーケットリーダーを戦略的提携先とすることで、様々な専門知識をGTM（Go-to-Market）に活かすことができると述べた。 また共創はパートナーの増加にも寄与するため、銀行にもクライアントにも新たな価値を創造できるとした。 またSCベンチャーズはイノベーションという部分でAIソリューションパートナーと協力し、デジタル資産を銀行に組み込む方法を模索しているという。具体的にはステーブルコインの活用方法などで、関連事例としてカーボンクレジットのトークンナイゼーションやトークンのスワップを実施した事例を報告した。 最後にロー氏は、SCベンチャーズの目標を「パートナーを見つけて共創していくこと」だと述べ、昨年のイベントでも素晴らしいパートナーとMoU締結の機会を得たので、今年も昨年以上の数のパートナーとMoUを締結出来たらと意欲を見せた。 イベントのハイライト このイベントでは、業界の専門家及び有識者らが一堂に会し、進化する顧客ニーズや、強固な技術インフラストラクチャーの構築、デジタル資産保護のための暗号資産カストディアンの重要性、デジタル取引と金融の新時代への道筋など幅広いテーマについて語り合った。 またWeb3領域の話では、デジタル資産のみならず、メタバースやAIについてのセッションも織り込まれ、テクノロジーと想像力が融合する新たなデジタルフロンティアについて議論された。 登壇テーマ及び登壇者は下記のとおりだ。 「Unleashing Capital from Supplying […]
