Ronin Networkで独自L2チェーン構築可能に web3ゲーム用に設計されたEVM互換のブロックチェーン「ローニンネットワーク（Ronin Network）上で、ゲーム開発者が独自のレイヤー2チェーンの立ち上げが可能になる予定だ。同チェーンの公式ブログより6月18日発表されている。 「ローニンネットワーク」では今後「zkEVM」が実装されるとのこと。これによりゲーム開発者は「ローニンネットワーク」のメインネット上で、「ポリゴンCDK（Polygon Chain Development Kit）」を使用した独自の「zkEVM」L2チェーンが構築できるようになるとのことだ。　 現在「ローニンネットワーク」上にはいくつかゲームが存在しているが、「zkEVM」の導入により1年後にはさらに多くのゲームが増えるとのこと。 またゲーム開発者はチェーンの構築だけでなく、ゲームを含めたdapp（分散型アプリケーション）やトークン設計が可能になるとのことだ。なおチェーン間におけるトークン転送や交換、NFTの取引もできるようになるという。 さらに「ローニンネットワーク」と同チェーン上に構築されたL2チェーン間のインセンティブ調整も可能になるとのこと。 ちなみに「ポリゴンCDK」は、ポリゴン（polygon）ブロックチェーンの開発を主導するポリゴンラボ（Polygon Labs）が提供するオープンソースのブロックチェーン開発キットである。開発者がイーサリアム（Ethereum）上にゼロ知識証明（zero-knowledge proof：zkp）を利用した独自のレイヤー2ブロックチェーン構築を容易にするために開発された。なお今回のように、イーサリアムと互換性のあるブロックチェーンも「ポリゴンCDK」を利用してL2チェーン構築ができる。 そして「ポリゴンCDK」を用いて開発されたブロックチェーンは、今後「ポリゴンCDK」を用いて開発された他のブロックチェーンとシームレスに相互運用可能になるよう計画されている。 ローニンネットワークとは 「ローニンネットワーク」は元々、人気ブロックチェーンゲーム「アクシーインフィニティ（Axie Infinity）」の専用のサイドチェーンだった。同チェーンの開発元は「アクシーインフィニティ」と同じ開発元であるスカイメイビス（Sky Mavis）が主導している。 「ローニンネットワーク」上には、「アクシーインフィニティ」の他、ポリゴンから移行してきたピクセルズ（Pixels）等のブロックチェーンゲームが稼働している。 BREAKING: LAYER 2 BLOCKCHAINS ARE COMING TO RONIN!
