The post ECB、中銀デジタル通貨「デジタルユーロ」に関する報告書を公表 appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. デジタルユーロ関する調査結果を報告 欧州中央銀行（ECB）が、中央銀行デジタル通貨（CBDC）「デジタルユーロ」のプロジェクトに関する報告書を5月26日公表。「デジタルユーロ」のプロトタイプを完成させた。 今回公表されたのは、「市場調査」と「プロトタイピング（製品やサービスのプロトタイプを作成して事前検証を行うことで開発効率を高める手法）」に関する2つの報告書だ。 発表によれば、ECBは「市場調査」を行った経緯を、「デジタルユーロ」の潜在的な技術的ソリューションを構築するための業界固有の知識・継続的経験について理解を深めるためと説明。 その「市場調査」の結果、「デジタルユーロ」のソリューションを開発できる欧州のプロバイダーは十分に存在し、「デジタルユーロ」の技術的ソリューションを構築するために、さまざまなタイプの建築的・技術的設計オプションが利用できることが示されたという。 ECBのファビオ・パネッタ（Fabio Panetta）専務理事は、欧州議会のアイリーン・ティナグリ（Irene Tinagli）議員に宛てた書簡にて「今回のプロトタイプは、革新的な機能や技術の余地を十分に残しつつ、［デジタルユーロ］設計の選択肢を既存の決済環境にスムーズに統合できることを示している」とコメント。また今回の「市場調査」と「プロトタイピング」の結果は「デジタルユーロの機能的設計と技術的設計の両方へのインプットとして役立つ」と書簡で述べられている。 なお「プロトタイピング」は、2022年7月から2023年2月までの期間で実施したという。「プロトタイピング」の内容は、様々なユースケースにおける「デジタルユーロ」の支払われ方の検証だ。 その検証では、様々な設計の選択肢が技術的に実装され、ユーロシステムの決済システムに統合できるかがテストされたとのこと。 そのテストの結果「デジタルユーロ」は、基本的にオンラインでもオフラインでも、異なる技術設計で機能することが確認されたとのことだ。 なお「デジタルユーロ」のバックエンド（サーバー側）及びフロントエンド（ユーザーの目に触れる部分）のプロトタイプはどちらも研究目的で開発されたため、今後使用されることはないとのことだ。 「デジタルユーロ」の調査期間は2年間。すでに2021年10月から開始されており、2023年10月に終了する予定だ。この調査期間が終了した後に、正式に「デジタルユーロ」の開発を開始するかをECBの理事会が判断することになっている。 しかし、開発開始を選択した場合でも、必ずしも「デジタルユーロ」の発行が決定するわけではないという。 正式に「デジタルユーロ」を発行するかについては、改めて理事会が具体的に協議し決定するとのことだ。 ECBによれば、今回の報告書の結果は、調査段階の結論及び潜在的な次のステップの両方に反映されるという。「デジタルユーロ」が利用者のニーズを確実に満たせるよう、今後も関係者各所と対話を続けていくとのことだ。 検証実験にはアマゾンらが参加 ECBは昨年9月16日、「デジタルユーロ」のテストのため、参加企業を5社選んだことを発表。 選ばれた参加企業は、アマゾン（Amazon）、カイクサバンク（CaixaBank）、ワールドライン（Worldline）、EPI、ネクシィ（Nexi）だ。 それぞれが担当するユースケースは、eコマースやP2Pのオンライン・オフライン決済、販売時点情報管理システム（POS）の支払人および受取人の決済であった。 関連ニュース デジタルユーロは公共財、プライバシーを守る=ECB理事発言 アマゾンら、ECBの中銀デジタル通貨「デジタルユーロ」プロトタイプ開発へ 欧州中央銀行（ECB）理事がデジタル・ユーロの概要説明と公開協議開始を発表 イタリア銀行協会（ABI）が独自でデジタル・ユーロの研究を開始 イーサリアム専門の開発企業コンセンシスがデジタルユーロの実証実験に参加 参考：ECB、書簡デザイン：一本寿和images:iStocks/Pradeep-Thomas-Thundiyil Source: https://www.neweconomy.jp/posts/316717
