During the second, though, he made a show of himself by throwing a tantrum when Xabi Alonso brought him off, while also front and center of a brawl between the two sides where he took a pop at Lamine Yamal among others. Speaking to Madrid’s official channels post-match, Vinicius sent a message to “all Madridistas” and “especially those who came to the Bernabeu [and] supported us a lot”. “The Clasico is like that, there are many things on and off the pitch, we try to balance it all, but it’s not always possible,” Vinicius continued. “We don’t want to offend anyone, neither the Barca players nor the fans. We know that when we go in there, we have to defend our side and today it was like that. “The atmosphere we have here is always special. We can continue like this all season because if the fans play alongside us, we can win great things this season,” Vinicius teased.
