Citing sources familiar with the matter, The Verge wrote that Sam Altman is seeking feedback about the project. At the moment, little is known whether it will become a standalone application or integrated into ChatGPT. Adding a social feed to its AI model will help it scale, allowing it to access real-time, unique data. Simultaneously, it fosters user engagement amid growing competition across AI and social media giants. Musk’s X integrated Grok with real-time data to train the AI model effectively. X users showed optimism that Grok would receive diverse responses for both educational and entertainment purposes. This received massive reactions, with some executives saying it made everyone jealous, especially due to its high use cases. Meta is also planning a social feed for its incoming AI assistant. The launch of the platform will create fierce competition between X and OpenAI. In February, Altman hinted at OpenAI’s social app after reports of Meta’s upcoming platform gained traction.
