Software Engineer Validates Shibarium Bridge’s Performance for Shiba Inu (SHIB)
Shibarium has successfully been tested in the public with results showing that initial technical hiccups have been fixed.
A software engineer has tested the Shibarium bridge to Ethereum, sharing the successful operation on X.
A software engineer has shared the results of an experiment to see how the Shibarium bridge works by transferring a bit of ETH to Shibarium. The engineer going by the name @CryptoLeadDev on X (formerly Twitter) sought to find out if the bridge works and to share the process of sending ETH to Shibarium.
1/ I am testing the #Shibarium bridge, sending ETH to Shibarium, so you don’t have to test it yourself. A
First, I went to the bridge and put in 0.01 ETH to be transferred. Estimated fee is 1.95 USD… pic.twitter.com/mVtjJQG0M2

Notably, after the initial launch of Shibarium a couple of weeks ago, billions worth of ETH was stuck on the bridge. This at the time led to investors speculating that the network was flawed. It turned out that the network was suffering from demand. Lead developer Shytoshi Kusama revealed that the network was suffering from a scaling issue.
With the help of Polygon, as revealed a few days ago, Shibarium has made tremendous improvements and has since been relaunched publicly after extensive private testing.
With the network back online, the software engineer is proving that the bridge is effectively functioning. The test was depositing ETH on Shibarium (0.01). After initiating the ETH transaction, the sum was marked “en route,” with Shibarium now in control of the funds. After 8 minutes, the minted ETH tokens had arrived in the engineer’s Shibarium wallet. The tokens are marked as ‘WETH’ which he explains, “WETH is a new token on Shibarium my Metamask wallet may not recognize. Hence, I have to add it as “Custome Token” note that WETH is totally different on Shibarium and on the Ethereum blockchain, i.e., its a different smart contract.”
The engineer finally celebrated the success, stating;
Now finally, the 0.01 WETH arrived at my wallet. #Shibarium bridge appears to be working. Woot woot! Horray!
This has come as great news for the entire SHIB community. He has further called on his followers to make requests on other features he can test on the Shibarium network.
After the Shibarium relaunch earlier this week, Shibariumscan shows that the network has reached new milestones. Data from the platform shows that the successfully handled transactions have reached 463,373 with connected wallets surpassing 138K after launching at only 65K.
Shiba Inu’s SHIB is attempting a bullish breakout, rising by 2 percent in the last 24 hours. As the project expands its ecosystem, investors and experts foresee the native token rising higher, possibly retesting its all-time high of $0.00008616 reached in 2021. The asset has since lost nearly 90 percent of its value but with this price target reached with no fundamentals backing the digital asset, many are optimistic that the coin will surpass it in the next bull run.
