Advertisement     Sonic Labs has announced the launch of the Sonic DeFAI Hackathon in partnership with global hackathon organizer DoraHacks and autonomous AI agent Zerebro. The team behind Sonic Blockchain, the firm is putting up $250,000 in prizes for participants in the hackathon. The competition will last four weeks, and the goal is to create novel AI agents that perform social and on-chain actions. This aims to further accelerate the development of DeFAI (decentralized finance and AI) on Sonic, the highest-performing EVM L1 blockchain. DeFAI combines decentralized blockchain technology with AI to accomplish tasks such as bridging assets, swapping tokens, and depositing liquidity autonomously in one step. Such combinations can also be used to manage social media, which can be useful for implementing marketing strategies. Recently, there has been a rapid growth in the popularity of AI agents, placing them on the cutting edge of innovation. The hackathon aims to explore and harness the use of AI agents in combination with blockchain technology for different applications.
