South Korea has begun considering relaxation of laws that prohibit foreign crypto investments.  The nation has been focusing on building a robust crypto regulatory framework over the past year. According to local news reports, its leading regulator, the FSC’s official stated that it’s considering overseas crypto investments.  Notably, Kim Seong-jin, the head of the Virtual Asset Division, stated in a seminar that South Korea is considering foreign companies’ investments. The current law prohibits both companies and investors from trading crypto assets in the company.  While discussing the laws, the FSC official hinted at existing discussions to lift the ban. He further stated that virtual asset exchanges such as Bithumb must include more anti-money laundering compliance measures.
